At Chic Home Decor Store, we want you to be completely delighted with your purchase. We understand that sometimes an item may not be perfect for your space, which is why we offer a straightforward and customer-friendly returns and exchanges policy for most of our products.
Our Policy
We are happy to accept returns or exchanges for most unused and unopened items within 15 days of you receiving your order.
To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unused, in its original packaging, and with all tags attached. You will also need the original proof of purchase.
Due to health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on the following product categories:
- Candles & Diffusers (Once sealed packaging is opened, the product cannot be resold).
- All Bathroom Furniture and Children’s Furniture (Due to the personal nature and hygiene considerations of these items).
We also cannot accept returns on made-to-order or customised items.
The Returns & Exchanges Process
Following these simple steps will ensure your return or exchange is processed quickly and efficiently.
Step 1: Submit a Request
Within 15 days of receipt, please contact our customer care team at [email protected] to initiate your return or exchange.
Please use the template below to ensure you provide us with all the necessary information. This helps us assist you as promptly as possible.
Step 2: Wait for Instructions
Once we receive your email, our team will review your request and email you within 2 business days with approval and specific instructions on where to send your return. Please do not send anything back to our address without first receiving these instructions.
Step 3: Ship the Item
Pack the item securely in its original packaging, include a copy of your proof of purchase (e.g., the packing slip), and ship it to the address we provide. The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the return is due to our error (e.g., you received a damaged or incorrect item).
We highly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee we will receive your returned item.
Step 4: Processing
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will send you an email to notify you. We will then process your exchange or refund.
Refunds (If Applicable)
If your return is approved, your refund will be processed to the original method of payment.
- Credit/Debit Card (Visa, MasterCard, JCB) & PayPal: Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to be processed by our team and then appear on your account or statement. The timing depends on your card issuer’s or PayPal’s policies.
Please remember that the original cost of standard shipping is non-refundable. If you chose free shipping, the value of the standard shipping fee (ÂŁ12.95) may be deducted from your refund.
Exchanges (If Applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged upon receipt. If you need to exchange it for the same item, please follow the process above, indicating you wish for an exchange.
For exchanges to a different product, the fastest and easiest way is to return the original item for a refund and then place a new order on our website for the desired item.
